Since 1887, a family of passionate winemakers
Nestled amid the verdant hills of Valdobbiadene, where the unique, breathtaking views of the rows of vines stretch as far as the eye can see, lies the birthplace of a story defined by passion, dedication and a deep love for the land – this is the history of the Nani Rizzi winery. For over a century, this family-run winery has been the beating heart of a winemaking tradition whose roots run deep. The story began in 1887 with Giovanni Spagnol, affectionately known as Nani Rizzi. With expert hands and much passion he planted the first rows of vines, unaware that he was laying the foundations for a legacy that would endure for generations. His son Ergi proudly took over the winery, infusing each cluster with the same dedication and love for the land that had inspired his father.
Today, that same passion drives Denis Spagnol, who now runs the business alongside his three daughters, Giulia, Elena and Silvia. Every phase of winemaking, from tending the vineyards to crafting the wines, is carried out with the care and attention that only a family can provide. It all begins with the Glera grapes grown in the DOCG area, which are transformed into exceptional products by perfectly blending tradition and innovation, yielding wines that not only express the history of our winery but also tell the story of our unique region.
